Pumpkin Scones

Hari ini buat scones, sebab pumpkin yang auntie tanam
last year tak habis2 lagi, pumpkin di sini manis dan sangat
halus, memang sesuai di buat cake, scones, pengat, di bakar
dan sebagai nye. Ini recipe scones auntie

125 g butter
1/2 cup castor sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups cold, mashed pumpkin
5 cups self- raising flour
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Milk for glazing


1) Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
2) Gradually beat in eggs, one at a time. Transfer to a large bowl
3) Stir in mashed pumpkin. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix to stiff dough.
4) Turn dough into floured surface and knead
lightly, Roll dough out to 2cm thickness and cut out scones
using 6cm round cutter (auntie potong dengan plastik knife aje)
5) Place scones, just touching, in a greased oven pan, brush top with
milk and bake in 200 deg oven for 25 min.

6) Serve warm with jam, butter or honey

makes about 16
