Walnut Pinwheels (Kuih Raya Shasha)

Asalamualaikum kawan2 semua, dan masih tidak terlambat kalau auntie nak mengucapkan
Selamat Hari Raya kepada kawan2 di fp yang tak jemu2 melawat auntie dan juga yang tersesat
ke halaman auntie yang tak seberapa nya. Mohon maaf di pinta kalau ade tersilap kata
dan terkasar bahasa, dalam arena ni,auntie pun dah lama tak buat entry, maklumlah lah terlalu
sibuk di bulan puasa, dan bila dah dekat nak berhari raya, sibuk buat kuih pula, lagi di
sebelah petang nak masak, dah lepas berbuka penat, bila pegang aje laptop nak buat entry
tengok jam dah lewat, mata dah nak pejam, nanti kalau buat entry tersalah pula, maklum lah
nak upload gambar pun makan masa, so lama2 Hari Raya pun datang, langsung tak buat
entry. Semalam auntie baru balik dari Melbourne beraya di sana, empat hari kat Melbourne
jadi hari ini macam ade masa so cepat2 buat, sebelum mood bertukar jadi malas. di sini
ade lah sedikit kuih2 raya yang auntie buat bersama anak saya Shasha , tak lah
penat sangat sebab ade Shasha kali ini, kalau tidak teruk juga lah sorang2.

Ini recipe Hazelnut Pinwheels

1 1/4 cups (175g) plain flour
100g butter, chopped
1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon milk, approximately
1/3 cup (110g) chocolate hazelnut spread
2 tablespoon hazelnut meal

1) Process flour, butter and sugar until crumbly, add egg yolk,
process with enough milk until mixture forms a ball. Knead
dough on floured surface until smooth, cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

2) Roll dough between sheets of baking paper to form 20cmx30cm
retangle, remove top sheet of paper. Spread dough evenly with hazelnut
spread, sprinkle with hazelnut meal. Using paper as a guide, roll dough
tightly from long side to enclose filling. Enclose roll in plastic wrap,
refrigerate 30 minutes.

3) Meanwhile, preheat oven 180deg grease oven trays, line with baking paper.

4) Remove plastic wrap, cut roll into 1cm slices, place slices on trays
2cm apart. Bake about 20min.Stand pinwheels on trays 5 minutes before
transferring to wire rack to cool.
